The exhibition of 19th International Silver Accessories Contest 2026

From January 7–12, 2026, Tokyo became a vibrant meeting point for contemporary silver jewelry design. The 19th International Silver Accessories Contest, held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, brought together artists from around the world to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation in silver.

A total of 249 works from 16 countries were submitted, reflecting a wide spectrum of artistic expression and technical excellence. Among them, 37 outstanding pieces were awarded, highlighting the diversity and high level of the international silver jewelry scene.

Award Highlights

This year’s contest once again showcased remarkable talent from across the globe and they are winners from Europe attended the ceremony and party.

  • Renske Dussel (Netherlands) received the Award from Japan Jewelry Craft School, recognizing both artistic vision and technical mastery.

  • Ana Maria Bardac (Romania) was honored with an Honorable Mention, acknowledging the unique character and quality of her work.

These awards underline the growing international presence and influence within the Art Clay community.

A Space for International Exchange

Beyond the exhibition itself, the contest created meaningful opportunities for connection and exchange. Several award-winning artists traveled to Japan to attend the ceremony and celebration in person, adding a special sense of community to the event.

The gathering became more than a competition—it evolved into a platform where artists from different cultural backgrounds could meet, share ideas, and inspire one another. Some participants also visited the Art Clay headquarters studio in Fuchu, Tokyo, deepening their insight into materials, techniques, and the philosophy behind Art Clay.

The exhibition space at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre offered a calm and elegant setting, allowing each piece to stand out and be appreciated in detail. Visitors experienced a rich variety of styles—from delicate, minimal forms to bold, conceptual designs—demonstrating the versatility of silver as an artistic medium.
